Foley, who led the nation in scoring entering the week at 4.23 goals per game, scored three of the Cards' first five goals. First-year midfielder Emily Dashiell and first-year attacker Liz Lovejoy added three goals each in the win.

Dashiell, ranked in the top 10 in the nation in draw controls, had four more on Sunday to take her season average to 3.37. Overall, the Cards controlled 16 of 22 draws on the day and had 18 total ground balls compared to just eight for Howard (2-11). Louisville also forced 12 of the 21 turnovers by the Bison, while only committing 12 on the day.
